Corruption is the enemy of development, and of good governance. It must be got rid of. Both the government and the people at large must come together to achieve this national objective. ~ Pratibha Patil

About this page

Welcome!

Development Communication, I guess these two words aren't new to you. We often hear and read it but I'm certain we have different perception about it. To have a better understanding, let me share to you it's definition according to Dr. Nora Quebral, professor emeritus in Development Communication.

"Development communication is the art and science of human communication applied to the speedy transformation of a country and the mass of its people from poverty to a dynamic state of economic growth that makes possible greater social equality and the larger fulfillment of the human potential."

In other word DevCom means improving people's lives economically and socially  through communication approaches that fit the information and education need of target audience. It aims to develop social awareness and personal responsibility to fellowmen, community or country. It is a social conscientious, thus the famous quotation, "No man is an island." again prove to be true.
